The Wynnum Seafood Festival is a community food and lifestyle event that aims to celebrate the charms and idyllic bayside living of the Wynnum area and its warm and friendly locals’ enviable way of life.
The festival honours the Brisbane Bayside’s treasured heritage as a popular fishing and boating spot and the wide range of wild catch fish and fresh seafood the region supports.
The annual event is free to attend and will feature a smorgasbord of the very best fresh and cooked fish and seafood that Moreton Bay has to offer alongside an exciting program of free events and entertainment including live music, cooking demonstrations, panel discussions, workshops, children’s rides and activities and colourful market stalls.
The Wynnum Seafood Festival will be held on be held on the Lower Esplanade of the Wynnum Manly foreshore in George Clayton Park set against the stunning backdrop of Moreton Bay.
For those who don’t live close by, getting to Wynnum is easy with convenient parking and public transport options available.
Wynnum is approximately a 30-minute drive from the Brisbane CBD. There is plenty of on-street parking in and around Wynnum, however, convenient public transport options are also available. There is no dedicated or paid parking at the Festival.
Festival attendees are encouraged to use public transport where convenient. For those travelling by train, George Clayton Park is a pleasant 20-minute walk from Wynnum Central train station. Buses are also available with bus routes 220, 223, 224, 225 and 240 stopping in Wynnum and Manly.
