When is the Wynnum Seafood Festival?

The next Wynnum Seafood Festival will be held in July/August 2018. The date is expected to be announced in early 2018.

The Wynnum Seafood Festival will be held on the Lower Esplanade of the Wynnum Manly foreshore in George Clayton Park set against the stunning backdrop of Moreton Bay. Please visit our Getting There page for a map of the Festival location.

How do I get to the Wynnum Seafood Festival?

Wynnum is approximately a 30-minute drive from the Brisbane CBD. There is plenty of on-street parking in and around Wynnum, however, there will be no dedicated or paid parking at the Festival.

Festival attendees are encouraged to use public transport where convenient. For those travelling by train, George Clayton Park is a pleasant 20-minute walk from Wynnum Central train station. Buses are also available with bus routes 220, 223, 224, 225 and 240 stopping in Wynnum and Manly. Please see the TransLink website for more information and to plan your journey.

What happens if it rains?

The Wynnum Seafood Festival is an all weather event. If it rains, we recommend wearing suitable clothing and wet-weather gear. However, in the case of extreme weather conditions, the event may be cancelled for safety reasons.


Do I need to book or purchase tickets to the Wynnum Seafood Festival?

No, the Wynnum Seafood Festival is completely free to attend. However, a cost may be involved for the purchase of food, beverages and some activities.


Are there any age restrictions?

All ages are welcome on the day and there is a range of events and program activities to suit most age groups. However, as certain areas at the Wynnum Seafood Festival will be licensed, people under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a supervising adult.


Can I bring my own alcohol to the Wynnum Seafood Festival?

As certain areas of the Wynnum Seafood Festival will be licensed, no alcohol is permitted to be brought into the Festival site. Alcohol will be available for purchase within the Festival.

Where can I go to report a lost item?

If you loose something at the Festival, please notify the staff at the Information Booth located within the festival site or contact us via the enquiry form on the website. Please refer to the Festival map on the Program page of the website for the Information Booth location.

Road Closures

Are there any road closures or traffic restrictions during the Wynnum Seafood Festival?

The road closures will be enforced from 3am to 9pm on the day of the festival. Local traffic detours will be in place with appropriate signage and assistance from traffic control personnel where necessary.

Can I bring my dog?

The Wynnum Seafood Festival is a dog friendly event, however, as areas within the festival site will involve the service of food, dogs may be restricted from entering certain areas.
